Mark Anthony Spence is Lauderdale Lakes, born and raised. Mark attended Nova from kindergarten through High School, graduating in 1997. As a recipient of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, Mark completed two years of college level studies at Florida Atlantic University before enlisting in the United Stated Air Force in 1999. He served as Medical Service Journeyman at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas. After the completion of his military service, Mark returned home to Lauderdale Lakes where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health Service Administration with a minor in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in 2005. In 2006, Mark purchased his home in Lauderdale Lakes. Mark resides in Lauderdale Lakes with his wife LaToya Spence, a Registered Nurse and their three children Mya, Mark Jr., and Michael. Mark Spence is the CEO and Director of Paradise Daycare Center and Preschool a Lauderdale Lakes family business which has been serving our families and the community of Lauderdale Lakes for the past 24 years. He is also the president of Carriage Homes at Bentley Park, Homeowners Association for which he has served as president for the past 9 years. Mark is a member of the Ambassador Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lauderdale Lakes. He has served as Family Life Director and currently serves as Director of the Adventurer Club. Mark’s love and dedication to Lauderdale Lakes is known in the community by those who have come in contact with him. Mark’s mission as Commissioner of Lauderdale Lakes is to build a stronger community, a safer community, a cleaner community for our families, and quality education for our children to succeed.
